It’s hard to believe but come November, run will be celebrating 5 years of putting parties on. From our humble first party in an old warehouse in Hackney Wick, through to excursions into east London bars & clubs via old factories, warehouses & boats, we’ve played host to a admirable line up of djs and producers from across the world and it’s been a trip all the way.
Always hungry for new music and new sounds, we invited the likes of Cabanne, Jeff Samuel, Barem, Ben Parris & more recently, Kez YM, to play their first ever UK gigs at run parties. We’re also very proud to be able to include some of the more distinguished names in techno, house & minimal in the list of guests who’ve played for us: Daniel Bell, Zip, Andy Vaz, Mikael Stavöstrand, Alton Miller, Geoff White to name but a few! We’ve also been prone to support local prodcuers and djs – many of whom have now gone on to become established and internationally recognised artists in their own right – Ekkohaus, Mark Henning, Margaret Dygas – and rightly so!
But getting back to the present – the party season started with an almighty bang last month with our Yore Records party with Kez YM & Patrice Scott & now after nearly 2 years of emails, phone calls & missed meetings we have finally managed to secure a very rare & exclusive date with none other than Detroit’s Keith Worthy!
Although Keith has played festivals across Europe such as the Disco 3000 in Croatia and the Amsterdam Dance Festival, as well as some of the biggest clubs such as Fabric, Panorama Bar etc to great acclaim, it is a rare occasion indeed that we get chance to see him play at a party in the UK – let alone headline the main room!
We’re also very happy to be able to welcome our good friend of many years, Audio Dependent, into the fold! Having helped us out and collaborated with us on the visual side many a time, a live set from from him has been a long time coming…
More info on the artists:
Keith Worthy is a labelowner, DJ and producer. Along with Omar S and Patrice Scott he is one of the most intruiging figures of the newest Detroit generation. After the first five magnificent EPs on Aesthetic Audio, one thing is clear: they are all different from an experimental standpoint, but content is key. For more info click here.
Audio Dependent is the musical alter-ego of London based audio-visual artist, Tim Cowie. Tim has been making electronic music since he first gained access to a computer & his musical style has evolved over the years from electronica to breakbeat, dubstep and most recently, minimal techno.
